a theory about a true conspiracy....
The investigation into Covid-19, from the origins of SARS-CoV-2, built in laboratories in China and the US, to experimental vaccines comparable to innovative and dangerous gene therapies, concludes in three sentences. Anyone who expected to see a Western-style battle before the United States Congress between former White House virologist Anthony Fauci and Senator Rand Paul was certainly disappointed.
Why Prosecuting Fauci for SARS-COV.-2 Manmade and Lethal Covid Vaccines is Off Limits. The Virologist Escaped from Senate after Trump post So POTUS Protects the “COVID King” and his Reticence before Congress on Manmade SARS-Cov-2 and Dangerous mRNA Vaccines to Defend Warp Speed Op. on Moderna Jab By Fabio G. C. Carisio
Fauci invokes Fifth Amendment refusing to anwer alla questions on Covid-19 before the US Senate Those of us who knew full well that Fauci has enough biological weapons secrets to arrest hundreds of Pentagon officials feared he would get away with it by invoking the Fifth Amendment and refusing to answer any questions to avoid the risk of perjury. Dr. Anthony Fauci was asked at least 111 questions today during a contentious congressional hearing on the origins of COVID-19 and his role in leading the government’s response to the pandemic. And at least 111 times (details in The Defender article among the sources), Fauci said the same thing: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.” But the key phrase that foreshadowed this attitude had already emerged from the famous “Diaries” of the former Director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases… Perhaps the only truly important one in a diary of private notes that contradicts his policy on the Covid emergency, as his emails, which ended up in the two investigations of the Senate and the House of Representatives, had already done. The notable passages document his initially amicable relationship with President Trump—who called him “the smartest person in the world” and said “We are counting on you.” And in light of the statements of the POTUS, who has returned to lead the star-spangled nation, it seems we can still count on it… This testimony was particularly anticipated after a CIA whistleblower confirmed both Fauci’s role in SARS virus experiments in China and his attempts to hide the artificial origin of the Covid pandemic virus, supported by the same counterintelligence agency. Sen. Rand Paul warned former government health official Fauci that there would be “repercussions”Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky warned former government health official and COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci that there would be “repercussions” for his refusal to answer questions during a Senate hearing on Wednesday. Paul proceeded to ask questions of Fauci anyway, who then repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment (details in The Western Journal article among the sources), The senator responded, “The chairman has denied your assertion of privilege and directed you to answer [the questions]. You nonetheless refused and stand on privilege despite the existence of the pardon.” “The committee will have to consider after this hearing what appropriate action should be taken against you for the failure to testify after being directed to do so. It’s against the law to obstruct an investigation of Congress. There will be repercussions,”Paul said. read more – WUHAN-GATES – 87. “HOW CIA COVERED UP COVID LAB-ORIGIN” (2 videos). US Senator confirms the MILLENNIUM CONSPIRACY Exposed in 86 Gospa News Investigations on SARS-CoV-2
“Then Chairman Paul put a contempt resolution on next week’s Senate calendar” The Substack Duty to Dissent detailed (among the sources).
But a few hours before the important hearing, US President Donald Trump intervened. In one of his many posts on Truth, where he practices the administration of a democratic country without having to verify that it is within the law, he effectively “protected” the former White House health and Covid-19 emergency adviser from the media spotlight. Trump blames Fauci of “Crazy Ideas,” not Bioterrorism: to protect Warp Speed on Moderna vaccine He called him a “crazy man” and not the bioterrorist many believe him to be, given that he is among the prime suspects for having created a SARS-CoV-2 in various experiments funded by the Pentagon’s DARPA in the US, China, Ukraine, and the UK... He is also accused of having sworn on the efficacy and safety of experimental mRNA vaccines that turned out not to be so. But precisely because Trump doesn’t want to admit that he funded a project to test dangerous gene therapies on hundreds of millions of American citizens, with high risks of adverse reactions such as myocarditis, strokes, and turbo-cancer, he has effectively issued an unwritten “pardon” that will protect Fauci from the risk of prison or even a possible federal trial. «Many more people died of Covid under the Biden Administration than under the Trump Administration. “Operation Warp Speed” was a SPECTACULAR SUCCESS, in fact, many say, one of the most successful things ever done by an American President. I overrode Fauci on this. His ideas were CRAZY!» Trump posted. «Also, I said from the beginning that the Virus came from the Wuhan Laboratory in China. Fauci strongly disagreed, always trying to protect China. I Inherited Fauci, who was there since the 1980’s, but with each passing day, relied less and less on him. He made too many bad calls, like on MASKS. Remember at the beginning he was an anti-masker. He then switched to a super-masker» the US president added on Truth. «In any event I didn’t let him shut the Country down, although he wanted to. I went the Federalist way, and let the governors decide. The Republican governors did a much better job than the Dumocrats. Fauci was largely taken out of play, and then along came Sleepy Joe Biden, who made Fauci a “King!” I called Biden to tell him Fauci was no good, either didn’t have a clue, or was dishonest. The call was well received, but sadly, not acted on. Biden went on to give Fauci vast destructive power. The rest is history! President DJT» READ MORE BELOW

prison....
It’s not exactly news to Free Press readers that Anthony Fauci got a lot wrong during the pandemic.
The former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)—and the government’s leading authority during the Covid crisis—Fauci led the call for lockdowns and school closures. Wrong. He said that it was “extremely unlikely” that people who had been vaccinated could transmit the virus to others. Wrong. He said that children as young as 2 should wear masks. Wrong. He argued that the virus had emerged from a “wet market” in Wuhan, China, jumping from an animal to a human—and shut down any suggestion that it could have resulted from a leak in a laboratory that was engaged in “gain of function” research.
As for those who disagreed, Fauci had an astonishingly arrogant response: “They are really criticizing science because I represent science.”
Back when both the public health establishment and the mainstream media hung on Fauci’s every word, Republican Senator Rand Paul was one of the few in a position of power willing to criticize him—going so far as to say that Fauci should “go to prison” for “his dishonesty” in dismissing the lab leak theory. Paul has long been convinced that the virus did indeed result from a lab leak, a position that is no longer viewed as heresy but is taken seriously by a number of officials in the intelligence community. And he has never stopped trying to get to the bottom of it. Paul has subpoenaed Fauci to testify at a hearing his committee is holding on Wednesday. Fireworks are guaranteed.

Fauci’s Big Money Awards Chicanery
by Adam Dick | Jul 31, 2026
In February of 2021, it was announced that Anthony Fauci — the United States government’s highest paid employee, who was also its number one promoter of the coronavirus scare and associated crackdown — was chosen to receive the big money Dan David Prize associated with the Tel Aviv University in Israel. I wrote then a detailed analysis regarding why there should be concerns about the legality of Fauci being able to receive this third-party granted payment that was admitted to be awarded because of his work as a US government employee at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Fauci being able to receive the Dan David Prize, as I explained, was suspect even if there were no evidence showing that the money would not just be landing in Fauci’s lap out of the blue. This month, that situation has radically changed due to the release of additional information by Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-KY) suggesting layer upon layer of chicanery orchestrated by Fauci while he was a US government employee to ensure he would obtain the Dan David Prize as well as other monetary awards from third parties.
A one-page analysis accompanying 135 pages of documents provided by Paul argues that there was much funny business associated with Fauci’s receipt of these monetary awards. The analysis states:
1. NIH’s number two official personally assisted in ensuring Dr. Fauci received a $900,000 prize. In early 2021, NIH Principal Deputy Director Dr. Lawrence Tabak was tracking at least eight awards for Dr. Fauci at once, telling him his goal was “to support you in the strongest possible way” and mapping out how to get the cash cleared. The largest by far was the $900,000 Dan David Award from a foundation affiliated with Tel Aviv University.
2. NIH’s leadership acted as Dr. Fauci’s advocates, not neutral gatekeepers. Dr. Tabak and NIH’s ethics lawyers argued Dr. Fauci’s case up two levels, to HHS counsel and the independent Office of Government Ethics for getting the prize money approved, even drafting an escalation to the HHS Chief of Staff that leaned on Fauci’s “visibility.” When NIH ethics officers told Dr. Tabak that Dr. Fauci could not accept an award, Dr. Tabak told NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins, “We went all out, and failed.” An NIH ethics official, Holli Jaffe, offered to “take the bullet” and break the news to Fauci, and noted the ethics counsel had been given “very specific orders” she felt she couldn’t deviate from.
3. Dr. Fauci told the foundation he would accept the prize before the ethics review was finished. On January 30, 2021, more than two months before he was given the green light from counsel, he wrote, “I told them (the Dan David Foundation) that I will accept the award,” citing a 2011 prior review and an assurance from “the Israeli person” that nothing had changed. Dr. Fauci’s ethics compliance on this appears to be a case of asking for forgiveness rather than permission.
4. Dr. Fauci asked his accountant how his prize would affect his taxes. In a March 2021 letter to his personal accountant, Dr. Fauci wrote that he would receive the Dan David Prize from Israel in May of that year, asking, “do we need to figure this in my estimated taxes for 2021?” By that point, he had already told the foundation he would accept the money and was planning how to keep it.
5. Dr. Fauci authored his own award nominations and had other scientists sign them. Dr. Fauci supplied the material and colleagues submitted it under their names. Recruiting Duke University’s Dr. Barton Haynes in 2018, Dr. Fauci wrote, “As usual, I will supply all of the material.” His office ran a similar operation for the 2022 John J. Carty Award for the Advancement of Science, with NIAID staff working to line up outside scientists to nominate him and Dr. Fauci’s own deputy suggesting names, and for the 2020 Dan David nomination, which his chief of staff, Dr. Greg Folkers, drafted and Dr. Fauci himself helped write.
6. The nominations were traded among elite scientists, with major cash prizes on both ends. Dr. Fauci nominated others for the same prize he later won, telling Dr. Haynes, “I nominated Zeke Emanuel… last year and he won.” The favors came back around: after Dr. Charles Dinarello nominated Dr. Fauci for the $900,000 Dan David Award, Dr. Dinarello asked Dr. Fauci to nominate him for the Shaw Prize, another seven-figure award, and Dr. Fauci agreed. The records raise the obvious question of a quid-pro-quo given the large amount of prize money at hand.
7. Staff treated the prize payout as a team win, and Fauci wasn’t the only one hoping to collect. When the approval came through, Fauci’s assistant wrote, “Congratulations….you’re rich!” and his chief of staff, Dr. Greg Folkers, said, “I want my 15%.” The prize money was wired that May, with his personal passport and banking details provided by NIH staff on government email. In the same round, NIH National Cancer Institute’s Dr. Steven Rosenberg also won a Dan David Prize, meaning two of NIH’s most prominent figures each pocketed roughly $900,000 from the same foreign institution in the same year.
With the new evidence and related allegations in hand, now seems like a good time for the US government to carry out an extensive review concerning all the third-party awards Fauci received, as well as concerning how widely corruption related to third-party awards has extended at NIH.

Monday With McGovern: Fauci, COVID Origins, and the Intelligence Community’s Quiet War Over the Truth
Key Highlights: According to McGovern, Fauci Takes the Fifth — 111 Times, appearing before Rand Paul’s committee and invoking the Fifth Amendment 111 times regarding U.S.-funded gain‑of‑function research in Wuhan—an act McGovern says signals the gravity of what Fauci may be shielding. He pairs this with Tulsi Gabbard’s “Two Binders”, describing her release of declassified documents detailing U.S. funding streams to foreign labs, internal safety warnings, intelligence disputes over COVID’s origin, and Fauci’s alleged private acknowledgment that the virus came from a lab, a disclosure McGovern says mainstream media ignored. McGovern adds that Obama Banned Gain‑of‑Function — Fauci Moved It Offshore, claiming Fauci shifted dangerous research abroad after Obama halted it, funding 120 labs including Wuhan. He then outlines The Intelligence Community Split, arguing that the COVID‑19 Origin Act of 2023 produced a report from DNI Avril Haines that dodged the core question while CIA analysts resisted pressure to support Fauci’s preferred narrative. The most explosive allegation, Fauci’s Diary, asserts Fauci kept a government‑system diary later obtained by Rand Paul showing he privately believed in a lab leak while publicly insisting on natural origins. Scheer and McGovern say Media Silencehas shielded Fauci, ignored Gabbard’s documents, marginalized dissenting scientists, and dismissed Rand Paul’s investigation. Finally, The Larger Theme: Secrecy, Elitism, and Unaccountable Power frames the COVID origin debate as part of a broader pattern of intelligence agencies burying inconvenient truths, bureaucratic elites protecting themselves, and media institutions acting as gatekeepers, with Scheer noting that COVID killed millions worldwide while the public still lacks a clear, honest account of how it began.
COVID‑19 reshaped the world, killed millions, and exposed the fragility of global systems — yet the public still doesn’t know how it started. If McGovern’s account is accurate, the truth wasn’t merely obscured by scientific uncertainty but actively buried by officials who feared political fallout. Tulsi Gabbard’s binders, Fauci’s diary, and the intelligence community’s internal revolt all point to a story far more complex — and far more damning — than the sanitized narrative Americans were fed. As Monday With McGovern continues, ScheerPost will dig into the documents, the hearings, and the unanswered questions that mainstream media refuses to touch.

MEANWHILE IN POLAND/BELGIUM....:
Poland has appealed a Belgian court ruling ordering it to pay for millions of Covid-19 vaccine doses it declined to accept under a controversial EU vaccine purchase deal.
The case stems from multibillion-euro contracts for Covid shots negotiated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen with manufacturers Pfizer and BioNTech during the pandemic. The agreements later became the focus of the so-called ‘Pfizergate’ scandal.
In a statement released on Monday, the Polish Health Ministry said the government had appealed the judgment and requested that its enforcement be suspended pending the court’s review. It argued that the lower court had failed to consider all the “relevant factual and legal circumstances” but did not disclose further details.
Pfizer sued Poland in 2023 after Warsaw stopped accepting deliveries, arguing that falling demand, an oversupply of vaccines and the economic impact of the Ukraine conflict amounted to force majeure. In April, the Brussels court ruled that Warsaw must accept roughly 64 million doses and pay about €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion), in addition to interest and legal costs.
Pfizer defended the ruling, telling Politico it reflected “the importance of the contractual obligations that underpinned a successful European pandemic response” and that the company had shown “significant flexibility” toward member states before pursuing legal enforcement.
Von der Leyen has faced scrutiny over her role in the vaccine deals, with opponents accusing her of concealing details of negotiations with Pfizer and AstraZeneca. She has come under particular criticism for refusing to disclose or preserve text messages she reportedly exchanged with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla during the talks. The controversy prompted a no-confidence motion in the European Parliament last year, which she survived.

The hounding of Tony Fauci shows Trump’s ugly AmericaThe attacks on Tony Fauci over COVID-19 advice, masks, gain-of-function research and rejected treatments are vindictive politics dressed up as accountability.
I first met Tony Fauci in 1972. I had recently arrived in the US planning to spend a year working in the Clinical Immunology research unit at Yale University. The unit was led by Dr Fred Kantor who shortly after I arrived invited a young Tony Fauci, who worked at the National Institutes for Health (NIH) to visit and share approaches to projects both units were interested in.
Yale University is in New Haven in Connecticut and at that time the town had very few attractive restaurants so we went a few miles to East Haven to a popular Italian restaurant and enjoyed our pasta and enthusiasm for our related projects. Tony was a most impressive young man and I was to enjoy our interactions for many years.
I spent 14 years at Yale and saw a lot of Tony at meetings and grant review sessions we held at the NIH. His potential was clear and his tireless commitment to scientific research was highly productive. My last two years at Yale were dominated by the emergence of the AIDS epidemic and Tony’s laboratory played a major role in determining just how the responsible virus destroyed the immune system of those infected.
After my return to Australia my focus was on treating those infected and minimising the spread of HIV here at home and in Asia. I saw Tony at numerous conferences on AIDS and we were particularly interested in possibilities for repairing ravaged immune systems when, thankfully, effective drugs arrived on the scene. Tony Fauci’s reputation saw him appreciated as an outstanding scientist among his peers.
Fauci’s leadership at the NIH was associated with many scientific breakthroughs and he championed the distribution by USAID of newly discovered drugs which, if taken 24 hours before sexual activity, would prevent infection with HIV. For poorer nations, ravaged by AIDS this was, and is, a major way to reduce the incidence of AIDS. President Trump’s withdrawal of support for the program is a disgrace.
The final years of Fauci’s 54 years at the NIH saw his team focused on the COVID epidemic and his leadership in advising government on how best to manage the epidemic. As has been publicised world-wide in recent weeks, a few Republican politicians are now claiming that his advice and actions were criminally negligent and for this he should be punished, and indeed imprisoned!
There are three major accusations: Firstly, that he assisted in the funding of dangerous research at the Wuhan Institute for virology in China. This research focused on “gain of function” experiments so scientists would know what changes the virus could make that would see it much more capable of infecting humans. Accusers suggest they created a more dangerous COVID virus that leaked from the laboratory and set off the pandemic; Second, in the early days of the epidemic Fauci did not recommend wearing masks in public but later changed that advice causing confusion and social isolation; finally, that he refused to support the use of two drugs, Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) claimed by some to be capable of curing a COVID infection.
To address these ignorant and vindictive claims here is a reminder of our experiences with COVID viruses over the last 25 years. There have been three outbreaks infecting humans.
(1) A COVID virus dubbed SARS‐CoV, (SARS-“Severe acute respiratory syndrome”) appeared in the Guangdong province, China in November 2002. It eventually caused an epidemic, affecting 28 countries around the world, with 8096 cases and 774 deaths. This variant of the COVID viruses was more dangerous than the variant we faced in 2019 but was less infectious.
After a series of investigations, it was found that this SARS‐CoV virus had infected masked civet cats and raccoon dogs. Antibodies to the virus in a badger were later found at China’s Shenzhen live animal market, and consumption of products at the market were suspected to be the source of the human infection Additionally, certain Chinese bats were also found to harbour SARS‐CoV suggesting that these animals are hosts for this novel virus.
(2) In 2012, another deadly respiratory coronavirus was identified in camels that caused human infections in 27 countries. While camels experience mild symptoms the infection could be highly lethal to humans, killing 30-35 per cent of those infected. Fortunately it was not highly infectious for humans. The virus is still infecting camels. There was never a suggestion that the 2002 and 2012 infections came from laboratories.
(3) In December 2019, Chinese clinicians reported a number of deaths from pneumonia apparently caused by infection with a corona virus dubbed as “COVID-19”. A number of those early cases were associated with customers of the Huanan seafood market in China. In January 2020 the first case of the infection was diagnosed in Australia. Infections resulted in the death of more than 20,000 Australians.
While COVID-19 may well be related to consuming infected food from the Huanan market, about seven miles away is the Wuhan Institute for Virology. This is a renowned research facility staffed by Chinese and international highly trained and respected scientists. Some of the Institute’s research was indirectly funded by the NIH, led at that time by Tony Fauci. Some have suggested that the COVID-19 virus was created in the Institute via “gain in function” research wherein viruses are altered to learn what may make new variants more dangerous. Suspicions were raised that the manipulated virus somehow leaked out into the community starting the 2019 epidemic.
This latter claim is impossible to prove or disprove but 90 or so of the world’s most experienced virologists have concluded that it is extremely unlikely that the Wuhan lab created and let loose the COVID-19 virus. This is also the oft-stated opinion of Fauci. Nevertheless, President Trump has just issued orders banning “gain of function” research. This is not a decision that will be supported by most scientists who can see that the potential rewards far outweigh the risks where new and deadly infectious diseases are increasing rapidly (Ebola virus, Hanta virus, M Pox etc).
As for the masking controversy, initially no-one knew how important masking might be to minimising the infection rate of COVID-19. Fauci thought that masking of health professionals looking after infected patients should be given priority while the supply of masks was limited. As the infections in the community accelerated he changed his mind. Aerosol scientists were able to demonstrate that viral particles could spread from an infected individual’s nose or mouth in droplets that could travel two metres or so. It was determined that masking gave the wearer 10-20 per cent less chance of being infected, but very significantly reduced the risk that others would be infected.
As we experienced in Australia, masking, social isolation and restricted travelling were incredibly demanding – but they were effective in reducing the incidence of infection. To suggest that Fauci’s change of advice deserves a jail sentence is preposterous.
As for Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, numerous studies revealed that in safe doses the drugs had no ability to cure a COVID-19 infection. I have often wondered what Clive Palmer did with the 32 million tablets of Hydroxychloroquine he imported.
That Tony Fauci – an extraordinarily talented and dedicated scientist – could be hounded with such vindictiveness by the Trump regime is symptomatic of the ugly America the President has created.

Biological warfare: an emerging threat in the 21st century...NEWS RELEASE
Mark Shwartz, News Service (650) 723-9296; e-mail: [email protected]
Biological warfare: an emerging threat in the 21st centuryWhy is biophysicist Steven Block so concerned about smallpox?
After all, more than 20 years have passed since the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the eradication of this highly contagious and incurable disease.
"Simply put, smallpox represents a direct threat to the entire world," says Block, a professor of biological sciences and applied physics at Stanford.
He points out that, although the disease has been eliminated in the wild, frozen stocks of smallpox virus are still maintained by the governments of the United States and Russia.
If rogue politicians or terrorists were to get hold of the remaining supplies, "the consequences could be disastrous," he warns.
But Block is haunted by more than the threat of a smallpox attack.
He points to some two dozen conventional biological agents -- including anthrax, Ebola and typhus -- plus an unknown number of genetically engineered organisms that terrorists could unleash on an unsuspecting public.
"We're tempted to say that nobody in their right mind would ever use these things," he says, "but not everybody is in their right mind!"
Block paints a disturbing picture of the international bioterrorist threat in an article published in the Jan./Feb. issue of American Scientist magazine.
His expertise in biological warfare stems from his work with JASON, an organization of primarily academic scientists who dedicate a portion of their time to solving national security problems. Members of JASON often serve as consultants to the Defense Department and other U.S. agencies
"In my opinion," he writes, "the terrorist threat is very real, and it's about to get worse."
Block argues that the United States and other developed countries should be doing more to prevent the spread of biological weaponry, which he calls "a serious threat to peace in the twenty-first century."
He saves his harshest criticism for his fellow biologists, most of whom have remained silent on the issue.
"Where are the biological scientists willing to go on the record about bioweapons?" he asks.
Anthrax
Biological weapons are "the poor man's atom bomb," writes Block in American Scientist.
He argues that bioweapons offer terrorist groups and "rogue states" (such as Iraq and North Korea) an affordable way to counter the overwhelming military superiority of the United States and other nuclear powers.
The agent of choice for most biological warfare programs, writes Block, is anthrax. Anthrax bacteria produce extremely lethal spores, and breathing in large numbers can lead to inhalation anthrax -- a disease that usually is fatal unless treated with large doses of a penicillin-type antibiotic immediately after exposure.
Anthrax spores are easy to produce and can remain viable for more than 100 years if kept dry and out of direct sunlight.
Their long shelf life makes them "well suited to weaponization in a device that can deliver a widespread aerosol," Block notes.
Anthrax also is relatively easy and safe to handle.
"Airborne spores remain infectious until they fall to the ground, where most become inactivated by sunlight," Block writes.
"Anthrax is not very communicable," he adds, "thereby reducing the risk that it will spread beyond the intended target. Moreover, a well-established vaccine exists that can prevent the onset of the disease, allowing it to be used safely by the aggressor."
"Black biology"
If anthrax, smallpox and other "conventional" biological agents aren't frightening enough, Block also raises the specter of "black biology" -- a shadowy science in which microorganisms are genetically engineered for the sole purpose of creating novel weapons of terror.
"The idea that anybody can brew this stuff in their garage vastly overstates the case," he says, "but any technology that can be used to insert genes into DNA can be used for either good or bad."
Block points out that genetic maps of deadly viruses, bacteria and other microorganisms already are widely available in the public domain. Last summer, for example, a leading scientific journal published the entire genetic code for the cholera pathogen. And legitimate researchers are now in the process of mapping the genomes of more than 100 other microbes -- including the bacteria that cause anthrax, the plague and typhoid.
Any scientist bent on destruction could use this information to attempt to clone extremely virulent strains of bacteria and viruses, Block contends.
He also points out that there are plenty of underpaid microbiologists in the world who might be eager to work for unscrupulous clients -- producing incurable "designer diseases," such as penicillin-resistant anthrax, or "stealth viruses" that infect the host but remain silent until activated by some external trigger, such as exposure to a normally harmless chemical.
History lessons
Biological warfare is as old as civilization, observes Block, but it was international revulsion over the widespread use of poisonous mustard gas during World War I that finally led to a 1925 treaty banning bioweapons during future wars.
"Disappointingly," Block writes, "neither the U.S. nor Japan ratified the treaty before the advent of World War II, when anthrax and other bioweapons were secretly being developed by both countries -- as well as by Germany, the U.S.S.R [now Russia] and Great Britain."
During the Second World War, the Japanese military killed thousands of Chinese prisoners by subjecting them to experimental doses of anthrax, cholera, plague and other pathogens. Evidence also exists of a deliberate tularemia -- or rabbit fever -- attack by Soviet forces against German troops in 1942, although some experts say the incident never occurred.
After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union launched full-scale bioweapons programs, which included the development of aerosol sprays capable of delivering bacterial and viral agents by plane or ballistic missile.
"Both sides also stockpiled plenty of anthrax," adds Block.
In 1969, President Richard Nixon issued an executive order unilaterally and unconditionally ending America's bioweapons program, and all U.S. stockpiles were destroyed by 1972.
That same year, 160 nations signed a treaty banning all use of biological and chemical weapons. And 143 countries eventually ratified the treaty, including the United States, Russia, Iraq, Iran, Libya and North Korea. Fifty-two nations have not signed on, including Israel, Egypt and Somalia.
Failed treaty
Despite its noble intentions, says Block, the 1972 treaty lacks any significant provisions for enforcement or verification. As a result, a number of signatories to the treaty have maintained active bioweapons programs.
"I'm fairly confident that the U.S. has stopped producing biological weapons," he says, "but the Soviet Union carried out ultra-secret bioweapons work right up until it collapsed in 1990."
In 1979, 100 people and countless livestock died following the accidental release of anthrax spores from a bioweapons plant in the Russian city of Sverdlovsk -- one of 40 such facilities that operated in the former Soviet Union.
Russia's dismal economic situation raises the question of how out-of-work bioweapons scientists are managing to find gainful employment now, observes Block.
"Some experts contend that a low but significant level of bioresearch still exists today," he adds.
Block's ultimate nightmare is that terrorists could somehow get access to the smallpox viruses being kept on ice at the Russian State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology -- a fear bolstered by the testimony of a former official in the Russian biowarfare program, who claimed that smallpox-based weapons were being manufactured there as recently as 1992.
Iraq also has violated the 1972 bioweapons treaty by mass-producing weapons-grade anthrax and conducting research on a wide variety of other biological agents -- including botulism, rotavirus and gangrene-inducing bacteria. Details of the Iraqi bioweaponry program only came to light in the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf War.
All told, Block estimates that about a dozen countries are believed to have active bioweapons programs.
Terrorist threat
Although Block is concerned about the bioweapons buildup in Iraq and other nations, he believes a greater threat comes from terrorist groups willing to risk an out-of-control epidemic and eager to suffer casualties for the good of "the cause."
A recent example was the 1995 sarin gas attack inside the Tokyo subway by the Japanese apocalyptic cult Aum Shinrikyo. The widely publicized assault, which killed 13 people and hospitalized thousands, had been preceded by a series of failed botulism and anthrax assaults near the Imperial Palace, a Tokyo airport and two U.S. military bases.
"Groups like Aum Shinrikyo are willing to use biological agents inefficiently just for the terror and propaganda value," Block contends.
"If anthrax were released haphazardly in a major U.S. city and produced only a handful of cases, the public fear and disruption that would ensue might alone bring about the intended effect," he adds.
Solutions
During fiscal year 2000, the Clinton administration allocated $1.4 billion to combat both biological and chemical warfare -- a good beginning but not enough, according to Block, who believes more should be spent beefing up America's anti-terrorist intelligence effort and its emergency response capability.
Block also supports the development of hi-tech devices capable of instantaneously detecting lethal bacteria and viruses in the environment, and he encourages the production and stockpiling of new vaccines --a hot-button issue in Washington, D.C. these days.
The anthrax vaccine has stirred the most controversy. The U.S. military wants to inoculate all 2.4 million active and reserve troops, but no one knows if the current vaccine will provide immunity against inhalation anthrax the type commonly used in bioweapons. Questions of safety, along with a scandal involving the corporation that distributes the anthrax vaccine, have led to a sharp reduction in the military's vaccination effort.
As for smallpox, routine vaccinations in the United States ended in 1980, the year the virus was officially eradicated, so few Americans still have immunity today. The Centers for Disease Control will make 40 million new doses of the vaccine available beginning in 2004, but critics say that, in the event of a multi-city terrorist attack, hundreds of millions of doses will be needed to prevent the often fatal disease from spreading throughout the country.
On the diplomatic front, Block argues in favor of strengthening the 1972 bioweapons treaty -- "giving it some 'teeth,'" he says, by requiring reciprocal international inspections to assure treaty compliance.
"Embarrassingly," he notes, "the United States itself has steadfastly resisted certain attempts to establish provisions for inspections" -- in part to protect the interests of large American pharmaceutical and biotech companies against industrial espionage.
"As the world's remaining superpower," Block maintains, "the United States bears the unique responsibility to take the moral high ground in this process, assuming a leadership role in support of meaningful weapons treaties."
He also makes a strong plea to his fellow biologists to break their silence and take a stand against the proliferation of biological weapons.
"Some folks simply do not take the threat seriously," he observes, "but they should. Others worry about provoking a widespread public backlash against biotechnology in general that might have a chilling effect on their own legitimate biological research."
None of these excuses stands up to close scrutiny, Block contends, adding that the time to act is now before disaster strikes.
"We should not have to wait for the biological equivalent of Hiroshima to rally our defenses," he concludes.

“I Plead the Fifth, They Plead Allegiance” — Democrats Shower Fauci With Praise While He Hides Behind the Fifth
By Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH
Many have said the most shocking revelation from the July 29, 2026 US Senate HSGAC examination of Dr Anthony Fauci was the obvious political theatre by democratic senators who overlooked Fauci’s diary, pardon, and refusal to answer questions and gushed praise on the disgraced bureaucrat. Dr McCullough gave reaction on Just the News, Real America’s Voice just hours after the hearing.
The Scene
Anthony Fauci appeared before the Senate, flanked by heavy security, trembling and visibly shaken — body language that Dr. McCullough described as “guilt with a capital G.” Over the course of the hearing, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times, refusing to answer questions about:
The COVID-19 response he orchestrated
His publicly-accessible government diary revealing private beliefs that directly contradicted his public pronouncements
The preemptive 10-year pardon shielding him from accountability
The origins of the pandemic and his role in shaping the narrative
This is the same man who once declared: “If you question the science, you question me.” Now, when finally questioned under oath, he had nothing to say.
The Political Chasm
The Republican Interrogators
Senators Rand Paul, Ron Johnson, Bernie Moreno, and Josh Hawley came prepared. Johnson brought roughly six inches of studies demonstrating ivermectin’s efficacy — including the ICON study from Florida showing over 50% reduction in mortality for acute COVID-19. They pressed on:
Why hospitals continued administering remdesivir against WHO guidance (the WHO said in November 2020: do not use it)
Why patients had to hire attorneys just to force hospitals to administer ivermectin
Why shared decision-making and patient autonomy were discarded
How Fauci manipulated media coverage while undermining the Trump White House Task Force
McCullough’s assessment: “Our Republican standards for truth really held up strong.”
The Democrat Absolution Ceremony
This is where the transcript paints a damning picture — though the document doesn’t provide verbatim quotes from every Democrat senator, McCullough’s reaction is unambiguous:
“I was shocked that the Democrats, instead of asking questions and wanting to learn about what happened through the pandemic, what Fauci knew — instead, they just heaped praise on him.”
The Democrats treated a man who:
Left his diary on government servers for years, revealing he privately believed things he publicly denied
Orchestrated policies that McCullough argues led to deaths from both COVID illness AND the vaccines
Spent the pandemic in self-aggrandizement — applying for cash prizes, celebrating media appearances, expressing zero concern for actual patients
Never treated a single patient during the entire crisis
Senator Andy Kim of New Jersey literally read Teddy Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” speech to praise Fauci — the same Fauci who just invoked the Fifth Amendment over a hundred times rather than answer for his pandemic decisions.
The “man in the arena” speech is about the person who dares greatly, who strives valiantly, who spends himself in a worthy cause. Roosevelt wrote it to honor those who step into the fray and risk failure in pursuit of something meaningful.
Kim applied it to a bureaucrat who:
Refused to answer a single substantive question
Hid behind a preemptive pardon from Biden
Left a diary on government servers revealing he privately believed things he publicly denied
Never treated a single COVID patient while amassing media appearances and receiving cash prizes at taxpayers expense
The irony is almost too perfect. The speech Kim read is about showing up and being accountable — the exact opposite of what Fauci did. It was pure political theater, designed to reframe cowardice as courage and evasion as persecution. Kim wasn’t honoring a man in the arena. He was eulogizing the very concept of accountability that has been applied to Dr McCullough and the small group of brave doctors who stood in the arena, risked their lives, and treated patients early at home to prevent hospitalization and death.
The One Real Victory: Gain-of-Function Research Terminated
Amid the Fauci spectacle, the Trump administration formally ended gain-of-function research the night before the hearing. McCullough called it “very important” but stressed it needs to go beyond just government funding — all such research must end:
“It’s like having mad scientists trying to create nuclear bombs in academic laboratories. We can’t have it.”
All experts now agree: if another pandemic emerges, it will come from an academic biolab — just like the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The Unfinished Business: Hospital Accountability
McCullough emphasized that the next frontier is dragging hospital CEOs and chief medical officers before Congress to answer:
Why they continued using remdesivir against explicit WHO guidance — and still use it today
Why patient and family wishes were systematically ignored
Why shared decision-making was abandoned in favor of coercive protocols
How they plan to win back public trust after, as McCullough put it, failing miserably through the pandemic
The Bottom Line
The Democrats’ performance at this hearing wasn’t just partisan loyalty — it was a declaration that institutional power, once wielded, is beyond reproach. Fauci could plead the Fifth 111 times, leave his duplicitous diary on a government server, accept a preemptive pardon, and still receive standing ovations from one half of the political class.
The message is clear: accountability is for people without the right party affiliation. For everyone else, there’s always the Fifth Amendment — and a room full of Democrats ready to call you a hero for using it.
