Today, Prime Minister Carney welcomed President Zelenskyy to Halifax, marking the President’s second visit to Canada this year. Ukraine is at the frontline of the struggle between democracy and authoritarianism. Their meeting comes at a crucial point in this horrific war – a time when the combined efforts and might of the United States, Ukraine, European allies, and Canada are creating the conditions for a just and lasting peace.

Since Russia’s unprovoked, unjustified, full-scale invasion, Canada has provided nearly $22 billion in multifaceted assistance for Ukraine, including over $12 billion in direct financial support – making Canada among the largest contributors to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. As the Ukrainian people endure another winter of Russian aggression, Canada remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine.

Building on Canada’s strong support for Ukraine, the Prime Minister today announced new measures to support a just and lasting peace. Canada is announcing an additional $2.5 billion commitment for Ukraine, including:

• Financing that will enable the International Monetary Fund to lend Ukraine an additional $8.4 billion as part of an extended financing program;
• Canada’s participation in extended and expanded debt service suspension for Ukraine, for up to $1.5 billion in 2025-26;
• A loan guarantee of up to $1.3 billion in 2026 to the World Bank’s International Bank for Reconstruction and Development to support Ukraine’s reconstruction; and
• A loan guarantee of up to $322 million in 2026 to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to support Ukraine’s gas imports and reinforce its energy security.

In Halifax, Prime Minister Carney and President Zelenskyy held a bilateral meeting to discuss the latest developments in ongoing peace talks. The Prime Minister affirmed Canada’s full support for Ukraine.

The Prime Minister and the President also participated in a call with European leaders to advance joint efforts for Ukraine’s security and recovery. Through the Coalition of the Willing and other partnerships, Canada is working to secure a just and lasting peace that reunites children with their families, fortifies Ukraine’s forces, builds prosperity for the Ukrainian people, and deters Russia from ever again threatening the peace and security of Ukraine or Europe.

In recognizing Palestinian statehood, Canada has betrayed Israel - opinion

The latest statement issued by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is seen by some as an abandonment of Canada’s traditional support for Israel.

One reads with amazement and disbelief the latest statement issued by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney after his July 30 discussion two weeks ago with the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.

Can this really be a leader of a serious country who is genuinely aware of the realities of the Middle East, or is it perhaps someone who is cleverly paying lip service to a redundant, powerless, and autocratic Palestinian leader?

Or perhaps could this be a message intended by Carney and his colleagues to assuage and mollify the uncontrollable pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel lobby both in Ottawa as well as in the streets of Toronto, Montreal, and other cities in Canada that is slowly but surely undermining the integrity and internal security of Canadian society?

The message relayed by Carney to Abbas is devoid of any vestige of reality. This, for the following reasons:

Two-state vision – not of the two peoples

• Prime Minister Carney reaffirmed “Canada’s commitment to a two-state solution – an independent, viable, and sovereign Palestinian state living side by side with the State of Israel in peace and security.”

This “two-state vision” may indeed have been an honorable vision of hope enunciated many years ago in 2002 by former US president George W. Bush and reiterated ad infinitum since then and up to the present day, as a meaningless form of lingua franca by international leaders and UN resolutions.

However, this two-state vision has never been accepted by the Palestinians and Israelis themselves. To the contrary, the Palestinians have refused to recognize Israel’s very right to exist independently, and the issue of Palestinian statehood remains, pursuant to the agreed-upon and still valid 1993-5 Oslo Accords, an open negotiating issue between Israel and the Palestinian leadership.

Therefore, in paying lip-service to the ‘two-state vision’ Carney is rehashing nothing more than wishful thinking without understanding what practicalities lie behind that expression.

UN recognition – of what and so what

• The prime minister’s declared intention to “recognize the State of Palestineat the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025” is a further indication of utter naivete and sheer ignorance.

He is surely well advised by his advisers and by Canada’s world-renowned international lawyers that there exists no such entity as a “State of Palestine.”

By the same token, he is presumably advised that UN General Assembly resolutions recognizing anything have no legally binding status and are nothing more than the political viewpoints of those states supporting them.

As such, in voicing his intention to recognize a non-existent state of Palestine, Carney is merely pulling the wool over the eyes of those wishing to believe what he is saying.

Palestinians' empty commitments

• In predicating his intention to recognize a “State of Palestine” on “the Palestinian Authority’s commitment to much-needed reforms, including… commitments to fundamentally reform its governance, to hold general elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part, and to demilitarize the Palestinian state,” the prime minister is surely fully aware of the fact that Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas made the same commitments in the Oslo Accords, commitments that to this day have not been realized and have been continuously violated, together with most of the Palestinian commitments in those accords.

In welcoming Abbas’s “renewed commitment to these reforms,” Carney is knowingly deceiving both himself and the Canadian people by paying valueless lip service to empty commitments that no leader of the Palestinian Authority is able and genuinely willing to implement.

Canada’s empty commitments

• In informing the president of the Palestinian Authority that Canada will “increase its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, and work closely with regional allies toward this goal,” Carney is voicing a totally empty, meaningless, and misleading commitment.

Joining such regional allies as France, Russia, the UK, Norway, Ireland, Spain, and others – in ganging-up against Israel in the United Nations and unilaterally recognizing a non-existent Palestinian state – undermines the Oslo Accords – and the Palestinian commitment to negotiated resolution of the conflict. It also undermines the obligation of the very states that signed the Oslo Accords as witnesses to maintain the integrity of the accords.

As such, the prime minister’s promise to Mahmoud Abbas is the very antithesis of promoting peace. It encourages the Hamas terrorist leadership and their PA partners in their stubborn refusal to free the Israeli hostages, and in their determination to continue their terror campaign against the Jewish state. And it encourages the other states in the UN, as well as the international public, in their continued hostility to Israel and their overall antisemitism.

With this irresponsible statement, as well as the policies that it describes, Carney has blatantly abandoned Canada’s traditional support for Israel – a support that has consistently been based on a solid commonality of political, security, economic, and cultural interests between Ottawa and Jerusalem.

Indeed, former prime minister Stephen Harper declared in 2014 in the Knesset that Canada will always have Israel’s back: “Through fire and water, Canada will stand with you.”

Regrettably, and to the contrary, Canada under Prime Minister Carney – and his predecessor Justin Trudeau – has stabbed Israel in its back and continues to do so.

One may ask if this ill-advised policy really serves the genuine interests of Canada, its society, and people. This begs the question of whether the damage that has been caused will ever be repaired.

Kaja Kallas, the EU’s dumb but dangerous blonde

What’s wrong with European women in European politics? As a European woman, I often wonder when I hear the ignorant and foolish statements of, for example, Ursula von der Leyen, Annalena Baerbock, or more recently, Kaja Kallas.

It’s not something that happens once or maybe twice, but it happens all the time. At first, I thought it was age-related. Annalena and Kaja are from the generation of the “George Soros textbooks,” but Ursula certainly isn’t. She’s from an older generation and has certainly experienced the strict and rigid teaching methods prevalent in Germany at the time.

Let’s start with the second most important woman in the European Union: Kaja Kallas. She was the first female Prime Minister of Estonia, from 2021 to 2024, when she resigned before her appointment as High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. She was born into a family with what you call “a silver spoon in the mouth.” Not rich in money in the truest sense of the word, but her father was the former Prime Minister of Estonia, Siim Kallas. So she had help and connections from her father to first work at the European Parliament and then become Prime Minister of Estonia.

This means that even in so-called European democracies, you should not rely on your intellect or actions, but rather on connections — a kind of “cronyism.” Only then can you start a career, and not with your capabilities, which is clear with Kaja Kallas. Let’s be honest, if you hear her talking like a “little girl” in her broken English, she is not representative of such a high position and makes no impact at all on the public.

She’s the biggest Russophobe (probably whispered to her by her mother who was exiled to Siberia with her family) in the European Union and has infected other so-called mainly Western politicians with it. As I often say, the Baltic States are fascist; the majority of the Baltic people collaborated with the Nazi Einsatzgruppen during the Holocaust to murder Jews, Communists, and all other opponents. This fascism has been passed on to later generations, such as that of Kaja Kallas.

Many Estonians fought in German units (such as the 20th Waffen-Grenadier Division of the SS). Modern Estonian historiography considers this a struggle for independence against Soviet reoccupation, rather than support for Nazi ideology. But that, of course, is the opposite of the truth. Communism has been defunct since 1991, and in those 35 years, a new way of thinking should have emerged, and at the very least, reconciliation. But the older generations are still poisoned with fascism and have likely passed this on to the next generations, and that is what most likely happened to Kaja Kallas; we can safely say that she has been brainwashed with hatred. I often point to this BBC documentary as evidence of the participation of large parts of the citizenry during the Holocaust that culminated in the Baltic States.

In this context, it is to be expected that the completely brainwashed Kaja Kallas makes statements like the last one (just one of many stupid and dangerous statements):

“We are tightening the net around Russia’s shadow fleet, including with the compendium on best practices. Today (the last sanctions package 20th), we sanctioned more people for massive human rights abuses in Russia. I have also decided to limit the maximum size of the Russian Mission in the European Union to 40 people. We will not tolerate abuse of diplomatic power. And together with the Commission, we are working to keep potentially hundreds of thousands of former Russian soldiers out of the Schengen area. We do not want war criminals and saboteurs to roam our streets.”

The remark in her recent speech—the foolish statement—that men (and women) fleeing Russia and seeking asylum in the EU should be denied entry is the opposite of what should be done: the EU should value and embrace these individuals. It’s the most foolish thing anyone in her position could say. After all, everyone benefits (the EU) from so-called “defectors” who possess considerable information from their own country. This demonstrates the utter stupidity of Kaja Kallas, which, of course, only benefits Russia.

The EU is clumsily trying to portray Kaja Kallas in a positive light, claiming the Kremlin is spreading disinformation about her. The European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) even dedicated an entire article to it. In it, they naturally deny that Kallas is a Russophobe and that Russia is the “bogeyman” who oppressed Estonia for years during the communist era, while not citing the fact that her father was a member of the Communist Party (see his Wikipedia page). Of course, given her latest statement and the ample evidence for her numerous Russophobic statements, the article itself is a pathetic spectacle; the EU is no longer capable of presenting any arguments or facts. The reaction to her latest “stupid” statements was not well received in Russia, to say the least, as this post on Telegram by former Russian President Medvedev proves.

The other female politicians are also, as we say, “stupid as hell,” but this stupidity has become so dangerous that they are blindly trying to plunge the Europeans into war and, above all, into poverty by refusing Russian gas and shooting themselves in the foot with their 20 ineffective sanctions packages against Russia.

The EU’s latest foolish move, led by Ursula von der Leyen, the instigator of another ignorant deed, is the fact that Ukraine, which is not a member of NATO or the EU, is blocking oil supplies to Hungary, which is a member of both, while none of the other member states are defending Hungary. This speaks volumes about the corruption and stupidity of the EU and NATO.

Of course, the EU’s goal, and especially Ursula and Kaja’s wish, is to oust the current Hungarian President, Viktor Orbán, as they did and attempted to do in Moldova and Romania. Hungary, which is pro-peace, denied entrance to Alexander Soros, the current heir of George Soros’s (Hungarian-born, filthy-rich Jew) foundations. George Soros is known as the man who “broke the bank of England,” actually a criminal.

The Soros family plays a despicable role on the world stage, supporting color revolutions and wars with money and so-called peace foundations. We can equate them with Jeffrey Epstein, who was nothing more than a Mossad agent and blackmailed politicians and the rich with their weaknesses. Many European and American men—politicians, bankers, etc.—are, by all accounts, as we now know, pedophiles, and it’s no wonder there are so many pedophile networks in Europe, including the former Dutroux network in Belgium.

That other “stupid woman,” Annalena Baerbock, who “inexplicably” rose from Germany’s dumbest politician to President of the United Nations General Assembly, and presents herself on social media and in gossip magazines like the German Bild as a “girl” from the American series “Sex in the City,” now has the ambition, she declared in a speech to the UN, to become Secretary-General of the United Nations, because she believes women should be seen more often in higher positions. She shamelessly told the audience listening to her at the UN meeting that, like her example perhaps the “Sex in the City” girls, she has aspirations for women like herself.

This situation is truly sad; I’m a proponent of women holding certain positions, provided they possess the right qualities. But now dumb women hold high positions in the EU, but also at the local European level, as evidenced by the recent appointment of the Dutch-Turkish-Kurdish Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius as Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, without any experience in or with the military. It has all become a joke. A Kafkaesque display of stupidity, and it should make one reflect on Kafka’s statement: “Women are traps waiting everywhere for men to drag them down to the Finite.”

In fact, these women—the Kayas, Ursulas, and Annalenas—are a shameless idiocy for the female sex. Women can achieve a great deal in their own way, with feminine charm and intelligence. Women are actually “natural” diplomats because they often have to balance family responsibilities with public duties. When they feel like working in important posts, they have to perform these diplomatic acts.

Women should be able to solve wars; it’s often the men who go to the battlefield and make the life-and-death decisions. Women’s job is to solve these problems with their feminine charm and intuition, or at least try to solve them. But the top women in the EU provoke wars, are hateful, incapable of using their natural diplomacy and charm, and therefore are dangerous to the population and world peace. In my opinion, as a woman myself, they should be removed.
