"the legal rights of the participants to be fully upheld"
The Israeli authorities have confirmed deporting activist Greta Thunberg. She and hundreds of others were detained last week after attempting to reach Gaza aboard an aid flotilla. Thunberg was a part of a group of over 170 activists deported to Greece and Slovakia on Monday, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a post on X. It also published a photo of her and two other women at the Ben Gurion airport. The group included citizens of a total of 19 nations, including the US, the UK, Germany, and France, among others, according to the ministry. ”All the legal rights of the participants in this PR stunt were and will continue to be fully upheld,” the ministry said of the activists, calling their aid flotilla a provocation. The ministry used the occasion to accuse the group of “spreading lies” as part of what it called a “pre-planned fake news campaign.” The ministry was referring to earlier accusations made by a number of journalists and activists, who said Thunberg was mistreated in Israeli custody. “They dragged little Greta by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag,” Turkish journalist Ersin Celik told Anadolu news agency. The Swedish Embassy in Tel Aviv reportedly said that Thunberg had complained about “harsh treatment” and not receiving enough food or water, according to an email cited by The Guardian. West Jerusalem has denied the allegations, calling them “brazen lies.” Over 400 activists onboard some 50 boats were detained by the Israeli navy on Friday as they tried to breach the blockade of Gaza by sea. More than 130 of them were deported to Türkiye over the weekend. Most of those detained were taken to Ketziot Prison in the Negev Desert; Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stated that he was “proud” of the harsh conditions they were held in. West Jerusalem’s actions have sparked a wave of protests in Europe, Latin America, and beyond. https://www.rt.com/news/626000-israel-deport-greta-thunberg/

Israeli soldier reveals 'strange order' to cancel Gaza border patrols on 7 Oct
The revelation adds to evidence suggesting Israel knew of the Hamas attack in advance, yet allowed it to occur
News Desk
An Israeli soldier stated that he and his fellow soldiers stationed at a military outpost near Gaza received orders not to carry out their usual early morning patrol on the border fence on 7 October 2023, Israeli media reported on 17 July.
During the time the border patrol would have normally been carried out, members of Hamas's armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, crossed the fence to attack Israeli army bases and settlements (kibbutzim).
Shalom Sheetrit, a soldier in the Golani Brigade, revealed the directive while giving testimony at a meeting of the lobby for reserve personnel in the Israeli Knesset.
He stated that on the night before the 7 October attack, he and two other soldiers, Yotam Sror and Itamar Ben Yehuda, sat by the battalion radio at the Pega military outpost near Kibbutz Be'eri.
“We were playing on the phone [at 5:20 am] and suddenly a strange message comes from my battalion commander,” the soldier explained, “and what he says on the call is something like this: ‘I don't know why, but an order was issued that there are no patrols at the fence until nine in the morning.’”
Sheetrit said soldiers from the outpost carried out patrols on the border fence every morning “because you are in an operational battalion and that is part of the matter.”
Hamas fighters attacked the Pega outpost and killed 14 Israeli soldiers there during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
When asked if this was why many soldiers at the outpost were still sleeping when the Hamas attack began, Sheetrit stated, “I don't know how to answer it that way. In our mortar department, there was an alert at dawn, and we woke up. It's possible that in the patrol departments, they were told not to wake up. I don't know. I don't want to just say that.”
Sheetrit stated that the military units based in the Pega outpost were responsible for protecting Kibbutz Be'eri, which was also attacked by Hamas.
“Unfortunately, we were not up to the task. There were dozens against hundreds of terrorists, 25 against 150, and so we couldn't arrive, unfortunately. I'm far from being a military man who can give answers to questions, the situation hurts me just as it hurts everyone,” the soldier explained.
A major battle took place at Be'eri in which over 100 Israelis were killed.
After the attack began, the Israeli air force deployed Apache Helicopters, tanks, and drones to bomb the kibbutz and the Gaza border nearby to prevent Hamas from taking captives with them back to Gaza.
As a result, Israeli forces burned to death hundreds of Israeli civilians and Hamas fighters in airstrikes in Be'eri and other kibbutzim near the border, as well as at the Nova Music Festival, per a secretive policy known as the Hannibal Directive. The deaths were all quickly blamed on Hamas.
“I tried to ask military personnel why and what happened there. The blood of my friends and the blood of many people in the country was spilled in a huge tragedy, and I tried to understand why it happened and how,” Sheetrit added.
The strange order to cancel routine patrols along the Gaza border adds to evidence that Israeli political and military leaders knew in advance about Hamas's plan to attack on 7 October – and allowed it to happen to justify the conquest and ethnic cleansing of Gaza and the building of Jewish settlements on top of the ruins of the strip's soon-to-be-destroyed cities.
Israeli military and intelligence officials ignored many signals on the night before the attack, and in the previous weeks and months, indicating that Hamas was planning a large attack to take captives to exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
Female Israeli soldiers tasked to observe activity on the Gaza border issued multiple warnings to their superiors that an attack was imminent, but they were ignored.
“In hindsight, we could have done a lot of things, we could have listened to the observers, we could have brought up the air force, and these things didn't happen,” Sheetrit concluded.
“That's the failure. It's not a failure of the fighters on the ground, but of the higher levels in the army, of people who went down to Eilat even though we informed them a week in advance that there was intelligence information.”

AS WE HAVE EXPOSED IN PREVIOUS ARTICLES, MANY PEOPLE HAVE HINTED THAT THE ATTACK ON OCTOBER 7 HAD BEEN "SET UP" BY BIBI IN ORDER TO HAVE A PRETEXT TO PUSH FOR GREATER ISRAEL AND TAKE OVER GAZA....

Is Greta Thunberg the lone voice for justice in our world? As the world moves from one crisis to another and our politicians ignore the immense injustices that are happening in their nation and in the world, what do ordinary non-violent citizens do to let their politicians know they aren’t happy with their lack of moral and ethical fortitude?
Some of us like me write to our politicians stating our concerns, some take direct action and protest non-violently. Some of our bravest citizens, when they see an imminent humanitarian crisis, mount a flotilla to confront non- violently an illegal blockade of humanitarian aid to prevent a genocide.
Greta Thunberg, a petite 22-year-old Swedish woman, has shown exceptional courage and moral rectitude in standing up and telling the world since she was a teenager that our leaders are presiding over ecological devastation if they don’t act to deal quickly and effectively with climate change. Her personal commitment to stopping an ecocide has been inspiring, as we move closer and closer to destroying our planet.
More recently Thunberg has seen the incredible brutality of the rogue, terrorist state Israel that has murdered thousands of innocent Palestinians, mostly defenceless women and children and decided that the world must act to stop a genocide. So, like other concerned peace and justice activists, she joins a global flotilla to send humanitarian aid to starving, injured and dying Palestinians.
Sending medical supplies, food and baby food via flotilla to Gaza isn’t a crime. These activists were attempting to break a blockade that is recognised internationally as illegal. No passengers on the flotilla had any weapons or were remotely connected to Hamas. They were all trained in non-violent techniques and knives were thrown overboard before IDF military boarded their ships and detained them illegally. Recorded accounts by the detainees tell us they were meted out harsh brutal treatment by Israeli military and officials. In particular, it seems Greta was singled out for “special treatment” being especially humiliated and treated roughly.
Why hasn’t the European Union complained about the illegal treatment of the Sumud Global Flotilla detainees? Has the rogue, terrorist state of Israel bullied them into silence, with the help of its fascist friend the US? Why aren’t any Australian politicians condemning the treatment of the detainees by Israeli military and government officials?
Politicians of the so-called free world are conspicuously silent on this international incident and that is why ordinary citizens in Europe are launching massive protests. When politicians lose their moral compass, ordinary citizens are required to stand up like Thunberg and protest non-violently for action against genocide, ecocide and the removal of free speech within nations.
Australians need to write to their politicians and wake them up from their moral and ethical slumber of inaction. The days of “she‘ll be right, mate” are over, and all thinking Australians need to take action against ecocide and genocide and not let one 22-year-old woman take the burden of the crises of the world on her shoulders.
