Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's recent Six-day visit to China was important. China is Australia's largest trading partner.
From Beijing perspective it was certainly a success.
As the Communist Party's propaganda sheet, the Global Times, observed  "the relationship is now flying in the stratosphere" after years of strained ties under the previous Morrison government.

This no doubt reflects belief within the Forbidden City that their goal of establishing a master-servant relationship with Australia has been achieved. Even before Mr Albanese set foot in China, the Chinese ambassador Xiao Qian, penned a timely op-ed in The Australian, (WOW!) laying down the rules of engagement.
He insisted China and Australia were friends, not foes, writing. "China has been always developing bilateral
friendship and co-operation with the utmost sincerity and patience, and we hope Australia will work with us in the same direction."

IT'S NOT. MAURICE TELLS RUBBISH.... CHINA JUST POSTED ANOTHER 5 PER CENT GROWTH AND THOUGH NOT EVERYTHING IS ROSY IN CHINA, IT'S BOOMING BEYONG WHAT AMERICA WOULD DREAM OF... AND LET'S NOT MENTION EUROPE... SO BETWEEN THE DT FRONT PAGE, THE TOON BY WARREN BROWN AND THE GHASTLY EDITORIAL, THERE IS ENOUGH VENOM TO KILL A BATTALION OF 10 BRIGADES PLAYING WAR GAMES IN THE NORTH OF AUSSIELAND, TO CLAIM THAT ALBO IS "COSTING TOO MUCH"...
